Anxiety Uncovered delivering public speaking to House Project

Posted 8th December 2025

It was excellent to have Joe from Anxiety Uncovered deliver a guest talk on public speaking and anxiety. He spoke about his own personal story of being stabbed and how after a career in comedy, TV and showbiz he started to experience real anxiety. He passed on key lessons and advice on public speaking and presentation skills that transfers into the workplace. Our young people, loved his enthusiasm and energy. A really helpful and enjoyable session.

Aspirational Awards Update
Aspirational Awards Update

In May, the Aspirational Awards panel awarded just over £15,000 to 19 young people across our LHPs. It was inspiring to see such a wide range of ideas, goals and determination reflected in the applications, and a privilege to support more young people as they take their next steps forward. Funding in Round 9 supported training + graduate employment scheme, equipment for a baking business and support for other businesses, sports sessions, music lessons, lifeguard course, and day trips. We have also recently completed a 3 year review of our Aspirational Awards and the impact they’ve had. Over the past 3 years, we’ve awarded over £147,000 to 138 young people (not including figures from our most recent round in May). If you would like to find out more about how to support the Aspirational Awards please get in touch.
